COSMIX - Colorado Springs Metro Interstate Expansion Project
The objective of the COSMIX project is to provide six through lanes along I-25 from the Circle/Lake interchange to the North Academy interchange.

I-25 Corridor Improvements Projects
The I-25 Corridor Improvements Project is a deliberate strategy to upgrade an outdated, aging interstate facility through the construction of improved interchanges and roadways. Please use the links below to find information on the Environmental Assessment, design, and construction of projects on the I-25 Corridor through El Paso County.

Woodmen Road Corridor Improvement Project
The Woodmen Road Corridor Improvement Project consists of a detailed implementation plan for various roadway improvements that address the roadway safety and capacity deficiencies that exist today and into the future. For the I-25 to Powers segment the plan will build on the recommendations, that are accepted by City Council, from the City of Colorado Springs East-West Mobility Study. For the Powers to US 24 segment the plan will build on the recommendations from the extensive planning efforts led by El Paso County.
Woodmen Road Safety Improvements
Because regional travel along this corridor has significantly increased, El Paso County has begun a process to evaluate, design, and construct transportation improvements from Powers Boulevard east to U.S. Highway 24. For further information on this project, visit the link below.

East-West Mobility Study
The Colorado Springs East-West Mobility Study identified transportation issues and community interests, and evaluated a full range of mobility options that will protect neighborhoods and improve east-west travel in the core area of Colorado Springs.
US 24 West - The Entryway
The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) have assembled a team to study short- and long-term strategies to address capacity issues on the US 24 West corridor from Manitou Springs to I-25. The team consists of CDOT, FHWA, and the consulting firms of CH2M HILL and Wilson & Company.
