Research Boulevard to Briargate Parkway

Project Update:

La Plata Investments has constructed this segment of Powers Boulevard as required by the Briargate Annexation Agreement. This segment of Powers Boulevard and an extension of Briargate Parkway were opened in June 2005.

Project Description:

The next section of the much-awaited Powers Boulevard extension north of Woodmen Road is the segment from Research Parkway to Briargate Parkway.

The project will initially be built as an expressway with at-grade intersections (see drawing of proposed roadway), but will ultimately be converted to a freeway, as was cleared in the North Powers Environmental Assessment of 1997.
